After repotting, the more tree like one never leafed out.
The more clump like one is fine.
It appears that the heavy rains we've had this spring have removed some substrate from the top, exposing some roots.....I ain't mad....

In in 6b and I have mine in a cold garage, so we will see what happens. What do you do with yours in the winter?

I put it on the ground under my back porch. Its blocked in 3 sides from wind. Right in the middle of bigger trees.

My hard cut back survived the winter pretty well and is really growing well this spring so far.

Nice, mine died back really bad over winter...only on of the trunks survived....its a hollow, dried out husk of its former self.

DEAD haha I repotted mine into a very small pot hoping it would recover well and it just never did. I think my mistake was I didn’t give it enough vigor at the end of last fall 2021 then I didn’t leave enough feeder roots when I repotted it.
O well! That’s how you learn!
