I have a Sharps Pygmy and noticed some small black spots on some of my leaves. Probably on about 5 - 10% of the leaves if I had to guess. I read that sometimes maples can get spots, and they aren't linked to disease or anything. Other than it being cosmetic, the tree should be fine. I read a bunch of things though, maybe possible tar spot? I have no idea! 
It can't be rubbed off, and you can see it from the underside of the leaf as well. No bugs from what I can tell, and the tree looks healthy overall (no wilting, etc.). What do you think?
