I'm done for the year on collecting trees. Here are the 3 larch I have collected this spring. The big one is completely dead with very old bark and holes. Thinking carving could create some nice taper? I would love to make a semi cascade out of the medium sized one and I just liked the bark and movement on the smallest. Don't be shy, tell me what you think good or bad.

I just realized that I said the biggest one is "completely dead". Ha! I meant to say one side is dead. The first and last one seem like very old trees and were swamp layered so it was easy to get most of the roots . I am thinking that they may need more than 1 year of recovery.
