Spring is already here in San Diego

This is my first deciduous tree that has started to bud out. Repotted it just now into a wooden training pot in sifted pumice/lava/calcined clay. Can’t believe spring is already here

Its a Chinese elm

Chinese elm normally bud well before most other species. Here the first Chinese elms show green buds around mid winter so there could still be some way to spring for you.
