It's spring time here in Texas for sure and that means candle sprouting time on my JBPs and it looks to be a good crop this year too. All of these except one are 10yrs old grown from seed by myself. :cool:  bp2.jpg

Very nice! What work are you planning this season? Are you going to decandle when appropriate for your location?

Yes that's the plan I've been following since I started working with JBPs. In my area it's end of June till a little past 4th of July. Of course everything is dependent on the health of each tree. A few times I would have to postpone a tree because I could see the tree wasn't healthy enough probably because of spider mites and then it's just leave it alone and wait until next year and try and bring it back to good health by then. :cool:
