Steam bending deadwood

I will be steam bending the long jin on this large juniper soon (attached). Can't quite decide about how to bend and reposition. It's about 1 inch at thickest end and tapers to 1/2 inch or less. About 24 inches long. I'd prefer to bend and incorporate in the design but can't decide what style would be best. Any suggestions welcomed. Thanks much.

What's happening here? Are there two trunks that cross, each with a large jin? Can you share other pictures?

First thought is to bend the big jin up and shadow along the main trunk, but I'm not quite sure what I'm looking at.
