Stones for Saikei?

Where do you find these types of stones used for in saikei displays? I know some can find things like this everywhere, but no so common where i am from. Is there a good place to order them from online?
Thanks for any advice.

Rocks... Look in a big pile, or small pile but there just rocks.

Oh I mean stones!

The usual type people look for is Japanese Ibigawa rock, which is hard to find in the states. The California equivalent is Lace Rock or California Lace. Call around to local landscaping supply places and you might find what your looking for. I have tons of it here, but it is a huge pain to ship...

Do you kow someone who lives in the Blue Ridge? Lots of stones up there. They don't need to be fancy:

In the UK most Saikei artists go to aquarium suppliers to obtain the stones for Saikei. Hope this helps, let us know how you get on.
