So I have a couple of mini thai bouganvilles I have been caring for the last 6 months. In the nursery they came as a single seedling, and I made a separation and repoting.

So, today I decided to get rid of the central branch in the left one (I didn´t like the fork shape)

and there I found this strange color in the trunk I had never seen before

I have protected the wound with paste, but I wonder....Should I be worried ?....they are very healthy (or that is what I thought)
What do you think?
PD: I made a similar cut in the rigth one a week ago and it wasn´t like this....

Looks like heart wood to me. When I prune them the sap is always clear. At any rate, it doesn't seem to be a problem.

Just to say, after some chopping operations on this species under different circunstances, I've learnt that color is just the result of adding iron chelatos to the soil (the sap dye even the wood of the trunk). So mistery solved 🤣
