Strange growth on Morris Boxwood

My Morris boxwood is starting it's spring flush and I noticed these little pods. Does anyone know what these are?

You did notice it flowering, didn't you. They are boxwood fruit and you can/should remove them.

No it has not flowered which is why I ask what they are. Thanks for the help!

You're welcome. Boxwood flowers are not so noticable, but that dry little mess around the fruit is flower remains.
