Its wired in. Usually I do let them recover and then put it in a pot. Didn't on this one. Will be fun to watch grow. Will do something interesting with the trunk. As long as it is wired in securely to the pot I see no reason it should not be ok. I don't repot until it recovers, sometimes leaving them for a year or more in a tiny propagation pot. Others do though and it most times works out. I have 3 tiny one's that I received this season. Been cut back once and are three time's the size now. As you mentioned in another post - fast growers.

I think you right. You cant kill them. I gave up on it thinking it was dead. Cut the top off and its been sitting in the shade with very little water and today I was going to clean out the pot and noticed little buds popping out. Gave it some well needed water and looks like it may grow.I honestly don't think you can kill them. They have no natural pests in the US so the only things you need to worry about is fungus and over/under watering. Very tough. I have had the leaves get burned off 3x from 120F+ till they were nothing but sticks and a few days later new leaves popped right back out. I really like them. I just tell folks not to put them in the ground.
