Styling/Development Tips for Ornamental Cherry

Hi all. I would greatly appreciate any tips on shaping/styling/developing my ornamental cherry. Background: I grew it from a cutting about two years ago. Those two super long branches are pretty new. Thanks in advance!

First, make it stop looking like a really excited teenage boy .......

I would cut the thinner of the 2 roots off and revisit it in a year or 2.
