I love that tree!
I wonder if you could bend down & stake down a tree at you collection spot and see if if it buds lower. Then dig in a few yrs?

This one it seems like the curve is going the other way…

Not at my collection spot.
I know mine is bending the other way. Yet still I wonder the aesthetics still works. I can easily make it an informal upright but I have so many already.
