Here are 2 Subalpine Fir group plantings I started working with this spring. The first is a group of seedlings planted on a lava rock slab. This ones in quarantine. I'm a little concerned that balsam woolly adelpids may be present.image.jpg The second is a clump I purchased end of season sale last fall. I liked the clump too much to stick in the landscape. Much better in a training pot. The large tree on the right has 3 trunks. Note the native huckleberry(?) around the base. This is one species I'm not allowed to collect locally thru my permit. image.jpg image.jpg
