Ouch, cut those fat roots clean off.. those were the good ones. But that's why I had root problems, always wanting to save stuff like that.
Amazing how they liked that dry terra cotta so much. Will be watching, I also will be getting a seedling or seeds or both.
You have to cut them off or you will never be able to put them in a bonsai pot. Doing that at the optimal time (early Spring) in a must.

Alright alright, I just bought one single cmeg pine. Ideally I would've picked up another handful but , as advertised, I'm nearing a destitute level of poverty over here. That rounds me out to $440 spent on a species I didn't look at twice last month. I feel like I got a pretty good haul for that price but man... don't tell my wife right now. She's been paying for dinner 😔

Well if you keep them alive they just go up in value, looks like some are selling 3 yr for 100 no styling whatsoever.
