Summer Maintenance and Spammers

I've been doing summer maintenance behind the scenes and you should not notice any changes. There will be some more major work later this week that might impact site functionality and interface, but I will give everyone a heads-up before that occurs since it may require me to take the site offline for a minute or two.

One change that I made today is to remove the ability to start private conversations as a new member. We have recently had a few sexbots make it past the new membership protocols, and they've spammed members with sexbot messages. From now on you will not be able to send private messages to anyone except staff until you have posted a least ten times on the site. This should eliminate the problem. For new members who join just to send someone a private message... sorry It is the world we live in.
