Hello everyone, quick question.
I recently moved into an apartment and all the windows gave north and get no sun at all in them and the patio balcony also faces north and no sunlight shines on it either..should I do with my bonsais? I have Chinese elms, jades, carmonas, ficus’s, desert roses and Japanese maples.. I’m kinda stumped on what to do. Any suggestions? I live on the 2nd story and the only way to get them sunlight would be to take them downstairs and around the building which isn’t an option because I don’t want them stolen

Howdy! Your best bet may unfortunately be outdoors on that balcony. The Chinese elms and Japanese maples will need to be out there anyways with the impending cold season approaching. For the others, you could supplement with a cheap grow light.

Do you have a deck above you? I think your japanese maples and shade loving trees should be alright on the balcony. There's always a chance too that come spring/summer your deck will receive more sun.
