This is an extremely rare and difficult species for bonsai. I have given up wiring and bending. Afterwards about 80 % of the branches that wer touched die. Now I work with guy wires and scissors only. This then takes decades. The tree after ten years in training is only at it's beginnings.

Impressive. I attempted trunk chops on 2 while still in the ground. Resulted in trunk dieback down to the soil line where suckers erupted. Didn’t exactly crack the code towards a good bonsai with those. Nice to see you moving forward with this genus.
