Post a picture of a bonsai that you have owned for at least ten years being in a bonsai pot for ten years. If it's been in a bonsai pot longer, then that is even better. Please post a before picture also. That is always nice to see where the tree has come from.

I feel ten years is a great milestone. These trees should be commended from a forum full of hobbiests.

How many will we get? I know Walter and Bill V. have many but how many of us mere mortals.

Azalea, I dug it from my front yard in 2001. Been containerized ever since. First shot was after collecting, second shot is earliest shot in a pot, 2005, and current shot is 2019, 14 years in a Bonsai pot.

1982 found as a seedling about 6 leaflets
Image taken 1989 - 7 years old

Height - 19 inches
Trunk - 1,75 inches
Canopy - 20 inches wide

Pot is a wooden onion crate

Around late 90's
Height - 28 inches
Pot is a modified 55 US gallon black barrel.

Today it has a bonsai pot, but have no new images
Soil is 5 mm silica based gravel 1/3
1/3 5 mm crushed red brick
1/3 aged compost.
