As this year comes as a rough start from a pandemic we can always make it better . It’s now time to start collecting for many people and it’s always best to inspire others ! Show your newly collecting trees from this year !
Hornbeam #5 for the year. This little guy had a pretty much naturally flat root base and some soft curves.3 of 4 hornbeams collected this year.
That's an Eastern Red Cedar. It appears my 8 year old is also hooked on bonsai. He and friends managed to dig up a juniper (I believe) with 16X16X3 of earth, lug it home and get it repotted. Of course he snagged a giant grow box I made and also killed my bonsai soil, but I commend the effort. He left the soil intact and just filled the box and covered with bonsai soil. Who said kids don't listen when we speak?
P.S. the azalea I referenced above died. Post mortem is I transplanted at the wrong time and didnt leave any original soil.
Awesome. He will be excited. That's an Eastern Red Cedar.
That one better let him style it by pruning or he will be traumatized wiring that spiny virginiana xDAwesome. He will be excited.
