Doh! I didn't read that last response before I posted my reply! I feel like an idiot. Trying to help my daughter with her schoolwork at the same time.

Homework is important!
Near as important as being a fortnight hero it seems.

We're doing it again.
Before I had to sit and listen, I took some pictures. Now that I'm sitting listening....

@Leo in N E Illinois that big lip rectangle is yours too.

It was certainly one! Super Moon the night of the Firing.

20200506_210920.jpg20200506_225059.jpg

I was delighted to have no trash from this firing, many usable seconds, and some wonderful things. I removed everything from the kiln, then utilized my bonsai patience to clean and rewash all my shelves before putting them away. Then I ended up moving a chair around the yard all afternoon trying to remain in the sun, to both stay warm, and inspect pieces.

Oh my, DebbieZula Reigns!

In oxidation, this glaze is the green color of a copper patina, or fert pellets.

In reduction, it does this.
_DSC2031.JPG

With some weed ash and more copper from another glaze, it does this.
_DSC2032.JPG

The lip Blue is another glaze.
_DSC2033.JPG

Quirkburger with fries. Same glaze as above, but only the one glaze, so it goes blue too, this could have been from things nearby.

This is the other copper glaze wiped on the weed ash on the above.

Alone on the inside of a porcelain test dish. Went purple with the iron of the Tenmoku glaze on the outside._DSC2052.JPG
_DSC2053.JPG

This was another with weed ash. Part of this crawling is because with a low clay content, this was the glaze I spent cleaning up off the shelf, since it sintered and fell off before it melted. Bright side, it was a very pretty glaze I got to chip off my shelves!
Some of the crawling is a response of the ash, which attracts particles to it like a bead of water, before becoming heavy enough to drip or run. Since most of the glaze fell off, there wasn't enough material to get heavy enough to run, so the result is this._DSC2055.JPG

This is the Ash Glaze From The Walmart Non Burning box of Wood! I fired this last time but it wasn't hot enough.

This time it finished with this lovely texture.

@AaronThomas another look at that Yellow Celadon. I think this is as good as it turned out this go round. It goes from brown to gold to yellow with thickness, after yellow I think that greener will come out.

These are from the top, Cone10. Yeah, I officially bent my first Ten cone. Dope. Stoked. Etc.

This is better than what I expected from my Cone 10 Reduction Brown. I have some of this clay from the wood fire that wasn't so evenly reduced.

First Of the Box Top Design at Cone 10 and I'm calling it a success.

_DSC2036.JPG

Also from up in Hot land, this one shows at cone 10, the weed ash melts enough to conglomerate and green up in pools. Not unlike a woodfire ash deposit.

It's the power to heal.

That's why I'm misunderstood. The subtle difference between wanting to Change someone, and wanting to Heal them. Subtle because healing is change. How quickly change becomes control in the minds of the weak. No one wants to be controlled, yet we all need to be Healed. What is the Change that You seek?

I don't wish to change your mind, I wish to free it. Only a free mind can maneuver through life's series of "it depends" successfully, and only after maneuvering through that series can we find each other to be friends.

This pot made me cry. I realize now it's because they hold these healing powers. It's what makes them special, same that could make a tree special, like the special music, or any art. It has the ability to save people, to throw them down a path that has the power to let them lead an entire life before they thought another second about what that sadness used to be.

Well back to the trees before even the mangroves die.

This is the front if there is one.
_DSC2022.JPG

The front for a tree cascading left.
_DSC2023.JPG

Right.
_DSC2024.JPG_DSC2025.JPG_DSC2026.JPG_DSC2027.JPG_DSC2028.JPG_DSC2029.JPG_DSC2030.JPG

This pot has these human characteristics which make it great for bonsai. From a distance, it looks the same as everyone else, which allows the tree to stand out. On closer inspection, it reveals its diversity, which makes it interesting for the collector.

I'm jealous!
My kiln 'guy' pulled up stakes and moved a long ways away... just when I was starting to learn how to have some fun! I'll never forgive him for that!!!

Put 10 of them 12 in em!lol!

I found this kiln for $50. Flue shelf retail $60. Borrowing a burner, you could get this built for Sub $600 plumbing and all, in a few years depending on used kiln availability. It does a lot of the work itself!

Thanks @barrosinc , I watched a Youtube film about a feller who rode a Motorcycle from Connecticut to Nicaragua or further, reminded me of you, l hope you all are well!

Yellow Celadon
Looking good brother!
I have been reading that celadon is a super hard color to fire… White with a dash of yellow and green.… Or something like that?
Pots are getting better and better!

5th ride. Reckless since I had the Sorceress here, it's a bad Omen, pretty ladies make the kiln angry and she ruins pots.

I love them both, trying to outwit the kiln Gods.

This is the first firing of this kiln that should be 100% good top to bottom.

1111F. Crawling through quartz inversion.

HALF today. Hot as living fuck. So my rain protection is sun protection.
20200705_150538_HDR.jpg

Ruined a stupid "melted" OR joint yesterday glazing it too fast. That shit hit the garbage with no regrets.

Got my first Sorce Clay Body on this kiln, and a couple pots with my loclayglaze, with added colorants.

Goin' be One.
