that Y shape on the boxwood is boss, it looks like a hand is plunging into the soil (see the thumb, index thru pinky)

The maple in the first pic was grown from a cutting, as was this juniper:

This juniper looks like an alligator, if the the background was same color as deadwood, and little teeth painted on there... well it would be tacky. But still do you see it?
