@AZbonsai ,

Thinks 3 levels of thin concrete blocks, about 12 inches wide, 10 feet long and
only 16 inches deep.
Set on a concrete slab with pipes for drainage in the back, at the bottom.

A simple top soil /loam and enhanced with 8 mm gravel and a layer of
aged compost.

The BRC wire is to stop the dogs from climbing up.
Faces West and gets sun all day.
Hope this helps.

Thanks for the explanation Anthony. You sure produce some nice stuff out of there! Planting in ground with constraints. Seems very effective. The putterings of a retiree! Fantastic.

Anthony, that can also be called a “raised bed”.

Boon has a series of these he uses as “grow outs” arranged as terraces going down a slope.

Absolutely correct Sifu.

These "troughs" run around the 80 foot long house and are very convenient.
Just about trim down the trees in the north facing set.
Good Day
