@Mike Westervelt thanks! Something-berry was on the tip of my tongue.

I just stopped by some house offering "two cedar trees." They turned out to be pretty good incense cedars, but unfortunately they were heavily infected with cedar-apple rust. Their trunks were each about 6" in diameter.

That's what I call reponsible thinking.

Here in my little suburban 8,000 inhabitants little town on the Loire Valley, part of a 300,000 conurbation, there is no use of weed-killers (so much for Monanto and the like), and very limited use of pesticides, and my, this is just fine

And in Orléans, the main city, there are bee-hives on some rooftops.

A small step for manking, a big drop in the ocean...

I lived down the Indre in Châteauroux. Best time of my life.
