You might remember this Yup Nana from the Doldrums thread.

If you don't, this is it here.
Yup, Cascade.

John. This is a Mullet! Yes?

Alright. Turns out I still ain't the greatest photographer.

This trunk is quite taperless, and nothing more than a hook over.

I wanted to practice using more foilage, and actually forming pads.
If this thing shows life, Id like to find a bit more separation in the pads, make more smaller individual pads, and wire it out to the green.

Please let me know what you think!

I would get rid of the trunk on the right and put that in a tall cascade pot eventually. I like it!

Fun project. I'd also remove the right trunk, and keep all movement going toward the cascade: including that 2nd cascading trunk you have moved back to the right. I see what you're going for, but I think the flow is better when it's all headed the same direction. Over time, work to even out the foliage distribution...its heavy in some areas and relatively thin in others. It takes time, but wiring every shoot helps achieve that distribution.

I will remove the second trunk.
It is a whole separate tree(read garbage) I beleive.

I've seen people say "I lost the cascade branch" so many times, I left both, actually 3(one short off the back).

I was thinking of leaving just one, cutting back the others as branches, you think 2 cascaders would be acceptable?

I was thinking of possibly jinning the lowest parts.
Either way, the cascade section hasn't been much addressed.

I can not wait to get to this again with some fine wire.

Thanks!

Couple more little wires and tugging everything down.
I lost some separation but this will improve.
A bit more compact.

Someone on this site (at least 5 times) has posted that there are far too many boring procumbens nana cascades in the world already. Then I added to the boring collection because none of them were in my backyard. Yours isn't boring though. I like it.

I kept those on for winter, figure I could afford to lose em now. Focus spring energy.

Gonna watch it and take the wire off by June.

Focus spring energy.

Wow - yours looks like it is waking up - mine is still purple and I am certain it was much milder here  Good progress for you though on what I see so far.

You know....with the easy weather till late November, Hell, almost thru December, I don't know if they ever went dormant.

I was expecting some color change.

My J.Cracks are still purple.
