Boogie coloring up is a horse of a different color. That means it's getting ready to bloom on that stem, unless of course you prune it off... The leaf edges color in the same vein as the flower color, so red edges mean blooming red/pink/violet, lighter green to yellow edges blooms yellow/white/very light pink, orange is in-between.

What I'm most curious about us the older leaves on the Bougie....they were green.
Same with the microcarpa....they came out green and turned red.

The red is showing that you have just about saturated the light intensity. The tree is producing extra anthocyanins and flavinoids, or betalain pigments as a form of botanical "sunscreen". It is a good sign that your have adequate light, approaching excess light. The fact you have no browning means you have good enough air movement that leaves are staying cool. Good horticulture. You could back off the light a touch, or raise the lamps a few inches higher above the trees, but this color is a sign of good growing conditions. Adequate light.

Excellent, don't change what you are doing.
