As we scroll thru the sides of this tree it will be apparent which view I may choose in the future as I work to make that view better.

It looks like a Japanese Red Pine.
Good nebari, low branches...it has potential.
That thing has a monster trunk! Where did you get it?
LOVE the bark on that one, Al. I think that's also about the best front for the trunk line and taper from those you've shown.
As the time comes and repotting to bonsai pot, this is the pot I have chosen for the tree. It comes from Japan and the potter is Ikkoudou.
So far I think this is the best view, but will retain my right to change that in the future as it begins to fill out and branches ramify.
