For several years this beech in the woods in the back of the property has been on my mind to do something with. So to end that I just did a major chop. I figured it would be good to get some growth on it before removing it. Figured early spring next year would be a good time to remove it. I was thinking on a larger scale as a bonsai. I think I may have cut to far up. The foliage by the trunk is a branch coming out of the nebari. It’s like 3.5 inches in diameter. Any thoughts?
