Forgive the unstyled trees. They'll get a styling next month. These stands needed to be strong and heavy enough to withstand winds up to 50 MPH (larger pieces are 6"x6" timber). The redwood on number one and three should weather to be more like number two. This was the first time I'd tried to build stands and there were plenty of hard lessons learned. Like make sure you have drill bits at least 10" long.

Nice stands. The third is a little iffy for me. It's the same height of your railing. A tree could have a long fall to the ground.

Thanks! If anything fell, it would have a soft landing. There’s a bunch of shrubbery down below. But yeah, it’s a bit rockabye baby. Living on the edge!

I would tie some parachutes to the trees 😋
