Thyme as bonsai

Hi everyone,
I have a number of thyme cuttings that I believe will eventually make bonsai. My main question is whether they can be overwintered indoors? I live in SW England where the winter climate is generally mild and wet. Should I try some indoors and some outside? I would be grateful for any advice from the forum regarding Thyme as bonsai. T I A. Mike.

I have thyme in the landscape and some dwarf thyme accents here where it occasionally gets to 0°F. Your only winter concern would be keeping them on the drier side.

Welcome to Crazy!
Thyme after thyme!

Just remember any facts on thyme is for a rapid growing HERB.

So while these low temperatures may be safe, it's not likely a well designed bonsai will come out the other end of that winter looking like a well designed bonsai.

Grandma never cared if her branches were all still tidy the next year, she just needed to slap some in the sauce.

What species/variety and are your cuttings already well rooted? If so they should survive ok outdoors in the south west - give plenty of sun and avoid waterlogging- they are mediterranean plants!
