Hello! In my region, the weather is truly spring, which is why I decided to start the yamadori season. the first tree of the year is linden (Tilia cordata). The tree has a nice wide base, some good roots and a few well-placed branches - in my opinion ;). Planted as usual in a mixture prepared according to Harry Harrington's recipe. Now the tree stands in the greenhouse and I wait for the movement from its side. What do you think about him?

Cześć,
looks like promising material, keep from frost which could easily happen up until March in your region. I would remove the straight long top branch or shorten it to the first fork, you most probably won't need it.

Hi Maros ! When it comes to frosts, I have no problem with it, I always follow the weather forecast. I still have an unheated garage, if the temperature drops drastically, I will use it. As for this branch, you're right, it also stings me in the eyes. I will take advantage of the moment that the tree is still in shock and tomorrow I will shorten this branch.

Well yamadori are not an option this year. My old site is now a 2 hour drive from my new house. (Just finished moving house leaving little time for bonsai)

so while ive been sorting my new shed and bonsai bench in the garden i found hidden away in an overgrown part of my new garden a planter of extreamly old ivy.

Time for gardendori... lolz

The plan was to chop it up and look for some good thick trunks.

And i found some.

Maybe next year ill get to visit my old collecting area when im not stressed to the nines doing a massive house move.

In the meantime in very happy with what i found in that old planter
This tree doesnt relate to the opening post in any way or form whatsoever. Please start your own thread.

Hi! As in my other thread about linden it's been a few months since my last post in this thread, it's time for an update!! The tree is doing well, it already has a few new growths, which I will allow to grow unhindered until the end of the season... At the moment, water, food and sun!!! The pictures are weak but I hope you can see something! Suggestions welcome!

Let it grow. Maybe prune later this summer to the main branches you would like to keep.
Linden here is iffy with defoliating later in the growing season; It may sulk and not grow again if defoliated after the longest day.
