I've had this bogevillea for quite a while and haven't done a goid job with it. I'd like to cut the trunk below the "knob" but I'm wondering how low? Looking today I think I'd go even with or just below the surrounding swirl, what would you call it? What is your opinion?20200206_174035.jpg20200206_174116.jpg20200206_174231.jpg20200206_174247.jpg

Glad mine aren't the only bougies looking yellowish and limp this time of year.
Yeah... bummer its got that longish strait shot in the middle... love what's going on at the base. Thats a tough one.... if it were mine... I would gamble and probably go half way. Compositionally I think the end result would be nicely balanced assuming there is new growth toward the chop but with bougies... but seems like when you chop they start sporting new grow from all over. Harder to tell then say a cypress or elm chop.
Really pretty vine. Look forward to seeing what you decide to do.

I assume it's inside? I would wait to do anything until it can go outside and get a little stronger. Just me though.

Off color as I missed watering one time around Christmas, lost all its leaves.

Mine generally throw their leaves down shortly after coming in for the winter, hissy fit. I've gotten used to it. Mine are in varying stages. Some are just putting on new leaves, one is growing like crazy and one is blooming.

Didn't realize it was a timing question as well. Agreed... wait till it perks up.
