Does anybody out there know of a good place to purchase tokoname pots on the internet? Help would greatly be appreciated.

Did you do a google search for Tokoname pots avilable in the US?

Or this link.

All kidding aside I prefer bonsimonk.com as they are one state away from me and generally have a huge selection. Karen will also order one from the current tokoname catalog if she does not stock it when she places here big order twice a year. Doing so will save you freight but may take a couple of months to arrive.

If you want the real deal, there is a japanese nursury selling the high end stuff on ebay.

If might be alot of help to the rest of the members if you took the time to at least fill out your location in your profile so we can more easily direct you in your area. Bar that google!

In the past year I've found it cheaper to just order them from Japan, http://www.tokoname.or.jp/bonsai/gallery/gallery1.htm. Great service, great selection (6 galleries), marvelously well packed, and with discounts available and no US middle man it's relatively inexpensive. Only problem is that an order takes several months to arrive. Hope that helps.

Thanks for the help everyone

Grouper52, so you have ordered them from this site? I have looked at this site before and was wondering if they had good service.
Thanks, Shohin kid

Will , thats a great site and the savings are pretty good. Now maybe I can get a good pot for your tree.

I've ordered about 8 different pots over three separate orders - VERY happy with the service and the pots each time. Good folks to do business with, and very handsome pots.

Thanks that is good to know. I thinks I will be doing business with them in the near future. Thanks everyone for the help.

My mac has a handy widget to convert all kinds of things. Temp, measurements of all kinds, even currency. It is quite a handy little tool.

Google will do it too. Just type "X mm to inches" and it will spit the conversion back out at you.

Do you have a tree good enough to go with a Tokoname?

". . . quite content to bimble along enjoying the hobby . . . "
Me too.

Here are three trees that I want tokoname pots for. A shinpaku, japanese maple, and a black pine.

Besides, tokoname pots are a good investment.
