Too late to repot this Ulmus Parv volunteer?

I potted up this volunteer that I found growing in some mulch early summer '20. I just threw it into this little 2x2x2 (ish) pot to get used to pot culture, with the intent to get it into something bigger in '21 for growout.

I noticed it's starting to push new buds the other day, and I'm wondering if I missed the window to repot this year. Thoughts?

Perfect timing, go for it, just don’t let it freeze again. I prefer to keep them well above freezing if freshly repotted.

Chinese elm are very resilient. They do well after repot even when lots of leaves have opened. Buds just starting to open like this is perfect.
In warmer areas these never go fully dormant and they repot any time of year without any problem.
