I just bought a few baggies of seeds including acer palmatum and judging by the timeline of stratification, if I were to start now, they would be "done" at some point in the beginning of winter. Is there some way that I can keep the seeds safe for a few months and start the process when it would line up with the weather? I don't want to end up with germinated seedlings that I can't plant because its too cold out. Or could I grow the seedlings indoors with a grow light during the rest of winter and then sow them properly after the last frost?
