Treating for mites, reduce Sun exposure?

As we know, a junipers strength is in its foliage and that is derived from the Sun.

However, I've never thought about one who's colour is beginning to lose its luster.
I am not using an oil based treatment this time of year.
So, if you're experienced with such an issue, rather than speculation or gut feel, I'd appreciate your input.

See, some folks swear by protecting from full Sun for a period after repot, others swear by placing directly in full Sun immediately to gather as much energy as possible to fuel recovery.
