I found this tree growing by the creek in my backyard. I was curious if anyone reading this could identify it? My thought is Quercus ilex.

My Plant ID app has only been about 60% accurate for me,.....anyways
It says Thorny Olive - Elaeagnus Pungens.

Lol that tag is from something else. My app said the same. I am not familiar with them. It does look very close. Time helps seeing the flowers and or fruit to help ID.

There aren’t any thorns present on it. It’s really cool how the new foliage emerges tan though. Here is what it looks like today.
