Tree Pest?

Any idea what insect this is? I searched Google and couldn't find anything real close. I found it on my maple tree. Any response will be appreciated...Thanks.

Query for Resident Bugologists: Is there a correlation between the size of the "feelers" (I know, wrong word) and being bug meat eater? It would seem to me that they use them to sense the presence of something good to eat... that moves around, unlike needing them to sense salads.
