Over the years I experimented with starting cuttings in different ways and places, and my propagation bed didn't work out very well because of too much sun, but it did give me a good place to over-winter seedlings and cuttings that I started elsewhere and wanted to protect for a couple years and grow-on for 2 or 3 years. It works very well for me.
