This is a winged elm I collected I call "Big Hoss". It has been in the grow box since I dug it 2 years ago. It was time to try and get it in a somewhat shallower pot. It's still got a long way to go but I'm pretty happy with the growth in two seasons.
This is root over rock project I started last spring. It is a Korean hornbeam on a Tsingy stone in a Dasu slab pot. It was wrapped with cling wrap up to the base of the tree when I started it and cut down an inch or so every couple of weeks over last summer. I will continue the process this summer to eventually uncover the entire stone.
I always like the collaborative threads were people posts trees in a common theme. I don't recall seeing a theme on broom styles. There are so many variations

Very similar except mine doesn't have the ramification that one does but it will come. I just gave it another prune the other day. Looks like the initial chop on the other one was a little lower also.
