Some fall D8749657-60CA-457A-8247-811A04CAB277.jpegcolor on my trident. This tree is recovering from the great rodent invasion of winter 2018. Mice or voles chewed up the roots and girdled the first left branch, forcing an emergency repot in the dead of winter. The tree bounced back and I am growing a new left branch. It will probably go back into a training pot next spring so it can recover faster.

Love this tree, the fall color is amazing! I recently acquired a trident it's just a starter right now and in need of much development. I have a question of curiosity, can this tree be left in full sun for 6+ hours a day? I live in central Texas and its quite hot and sunny. I have several japanese maples of different cultivars and I have to put them in heavy shade or they burn. I plan to develop the trident in a large terra cotta planter with sifted pine bark. I just need to figure out where would be best place for it.
