Great trunk with awesome movement. That is some very nice material. I love the satisfaction of a repot, especially if you are putting it into a new pot you have been waiting to use at the right time. Good stuff there!

Yes i was waiting all winter and with the early spring here in the midwest its been a busy week.they first 3 was a fun time the rest was work :)

What are you planning for the final height of the tree??? I only ask because it looks like it needs to be lots taller than currently, to achieve realistic taper. I have been through that phase (not all that long ago...:o) where I was keeping too much of the original trunk, and not chopping low enough. I've opened my eyes to this flaw, and have started over on some of my trees to address this issue. The lower trunk is nice, with some nice movement, so would be a really nice bonsai if you plan for it's future. I would say chop it to the second branch (first one on left) and make it the new leader. Just my 2 centavos, have fun with it!
