You wont have any problem growing it in NJ. There are people on this forum that grow them in Michigan and people that grow them in southern California and Texas.

i geuss i like it for the challenge. it looks ok when its full. sometimes, i feel you can work with what you have and make improvements to a tree and learn from them. iknow its not gonna win any awards at kokufu.
sure i can see many of the flaws,but ive got plenty too. now i just want to make it better, and enjoy the trip.

Layer the top part and sort out the roots, put in a larger flat tray and grow a new section...the top is too good to waste.
