Hi Al,

I just discovered this thread and I am really impressed by your results. I am curious have you tried this technique to other types of deciduous tree? (I mean cutting the new growth down to 1/4 inch on the trunk (not flush) whereby the callouses grow over .... from Page 1 of this thread) When I see the pictures of your results I am really impressed, I always wondered how did people get these really fat lumpy old looking trunks that I see so much in books. Amazing.

and just finished calling nurseries down here... I might have to this weekend and get a couple!
