Got this tree two years ago (Jan 2020). I’ve just been letting it grow with minor pruning in the past. Finally gave it a bit of a hard prune and wired down. Removed all the suckers at the bottom and kept some top branches on each trunk as sacrifice branches.

A little over two years now, still very much a padawan.
That's great. I started in the early eighties and now that the kids are grown and moved out and I am retired, but have a retired job, I am more into to it now. Shortly, I will be repotting a number of my bonsai. Some need root pruning and larger pots. If you are interested, we could meet up and learn from each other. I don't know too many people up here who do this. I just joined the San Diego Bonsai club but have yet to have gone to a meeting. Its a nice hobby to have. Any questions, just ask.

Needed a hard cutback. But only up to where buds have popped.

The left trunk is left to grow out to thicken, sacrificial branch will be cut after sufficient thickness has been achieved. A day’s workshop was definitely useful.
