There was a gust of wind, a ded branch fell from a big tree and snapped two of the branches :

So I will cut out the first branch, then the trunk at the same level and try to use them as cuttings. I think that there is a fair chance that they'll take. The bottom part will make a kind of pollard :

@Norcalkbonsai nice find, congratulatios!

Seiju cuttings works really well, you can see how mine are doing here click,click,
so if you going to prune some branches, you may try, even the thikest ones seems root easely if the humedity is hight. Don`t waste that great stuff!

hello i have one too had to wait out the winter before placing it in a pot form the five gallon pot. removed one large branch also used one of the cuttings to start a small bonsai also waiting for the leaves to open before shaping it see below were I am now. i live in southfield michigan and it won't stop f--- snowing off and on for days now thank god its just going to rain. any suggestions are welcome
