Hi all,
I will let you see my ume. This tree I got from my old friend, Mr. Yutaka in 2007. Since then, I transplanted it 4 times! Every year, it gave me lot of very beautiful flowers. I still didn't let it stay in the right pot and position! To keep it alive and blooming is quite a skill in my hot, dry area!
This year, it blooms late (in previous years, it always gave flowers around January first!).
Finally, it starts blooming today! The flower is still small at this time. I expect it will fully open tomorrow. Enjoy the show!:)

I took the pictures of those 2 flowers right before it's completely dark this evening.
They are slowly opening! I already smell their fragrance! Because one of my hobbies is photography, you will see a lot of pictures from now until the end of the show. Bear with me! :)

It's good to know! That means the weather has been changing in Southern California!

My little survivor is just starting. Nothing like your show but the blooms are awesome. Looks like only about 5-7 flowers but it is a VERY little tree. Say, when do you repot yours?

Hi Bonhe, that is a really cool ume! I must make a trip to your house to see it in person!

Yes, it will be quite a show. How tall is this tree?
Thanks Fredtruck. Its height is 25".

I like to see yours.
I repot it right after the flower faded.

Thanks Si. You must come within 2 weeks. I expect it is fully blooming in 11 days from now!

I can hardly wait, what a treat for those of us who don't have an ume of our own!
Thanks bonhe.

They'll be openning up like gangbusters soon- it's going to be close to 80 the next several days.

The tree was at sunset! (picture was taken this evening)

Your tree looks beautiful. I'd love to see it against a black backdrop on a sunny day, which I think would highlite the shape of the tree and the blossoms.

Looking good...keep 'em coming. Mine's done, and already been pruned/wired for spring.

Thanks Daygan. I intended to take its picture at daylight when it fills more flowers.
