Has anyone tried using Mexican Buckeye for bonsai ? I have a bunch of seeds that I collected from trees in my area. I am going to try to get them started for next year and was just wondering if someone here had done any bonsai work with them.

I started a few from seeds several years ago, not for bonsai, just for the heck of it. I was hiking and thought the seed pods were interesting. I didn't keep them long. Just had too many plants and lost interest. One thing i did notice is that they are more densely branched in sun, more open in habit if it gets too much shade.
