Tree responding nicely to being repotted, pruned, and fertilized. Pushing new growth:

I don't think this is a Juniper but some kind of chamaecyparis obtusa.

That's not a juniper. It being a hinoki variant, that's key in how you handle it, keeping in mind the reluctance hinoki has to backbudding compared to junipers.
