using Kanuma soil

I live in Las Vegas and our water is very hard, I was thinking of using Kanuma to include in my substrate for this re potting season, and also to compensate to the hard water I'm using whenever I water my tree. Any views on this and and tips would be appreciated.

FYI: Kanuma is VERY soft. For anything other than an azalea, if this was even the route I chose to go, I'd add kanuma to other soil components.
