I bought this at Lowes last year end of season for $3. It developed a lot of variegation this year. Late winter I will take hardwood cuttings of the variegated portions.
By the way, this plant did not exhibit variegation when I bought it, but it was end of year and leaves were pretty shabby. It is accepted that often variegation is due to a virus. I have a lot of variegated plants. Makes you wonder a bit.
Interesting! Never seen a variegated wisteria. I wonder if the flowers would display any sort of unique coloration.
I planted a wisteria “Amethyst Falls” out front of our house next to a column a couple years ago. It has exploded with vegetative growth but no flowers yet…maybe next year
